Julia Hom

Hello everyone! My name is Julia Hom, and I am running for ICC Co-chair. I am a business administration student here at Mt. San Antonio College. I am a current Activites senator of the Associated Students; this is my second and final term in this position.

As a candidate for the Inter Club Council co-chair, I am excited about the possibility of serving in a new leadership role, and to contribute to the growing student body, Recognized Student Clubs & Organizations (RSCOs) and Mt. San Antonio College. I am looking forward to have the opportunity to represent our diverse student body and help build a more vibrant, fun, and stronger campus community. Furthermore, I am eager to develop, learn, and listen on this journey.

If elected as Co-chair, me and my co-chair will continue to make it a top priority to promote collaboration and effective communication between the ICC, other student organizations, and the broader campus community. I also understand the importance of actively listening and gaining insights from others’ experiences and perspectives. Furthermore, it is my belief that this quality is vital for me to effectively fulfill my duties as an ICC Co-chair, especially given that the basic objective of the ICC is to encourage collaboration and effective communication among RSCOs. I will also ensure that all issues brought up before ICC are addressed in a fair and reasoned manner. As an ICC Co-chair, it will be my responsibility to oversee such issues with utmost care and professionalism. I will act as a representative of the Inter Club Council and communicate with the rest of the student body. I plan to increase the availability of opportunities for students to engage in various clubs and organizations on campus; moreover, promote a more dynamic, fun and active campus community. I will try my absolute best to promote and raise student awareness of the RSCOs of Mt. San Antonio College, and encourage them to be more active and involved on campus. One of my goal is to ensure that every student at Mt. San Antonio College is aware of at least one club or organization that aligns with their interests.
